There were so many distractions this morning. But, one of the main things that I received from the Word today is- God Does Not Lie! I know that Titus is a letter from Paul speaking about the leadership in the church, but when Paul wrote "Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness-a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, and at this appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior." (1:1-3) That alone is a truth that fills me with peace and joy. To know that God doesn't lie, well, it's huge! That means that the whole Bible, which is God-breathed is not a lie and I can trust it with my whole heart. What a relief! It is not that I thought it was fake or unreal, but it is amazing that if I did this statement would blow it out of the water.
Thank you God for placing things in our lives that direct us to you. You know that we are sinful by nature and disbelieving, yet you still love us(me). You love us so much that throughout your word you place words of truth to pierce our hearts and allow us to grow closer to you. I am sure that in another time reading Titus, I will gain more knowledge for your kingdom, but for today I gain truth in what is truth. Thank you for your peace that is overflowing in me. Thank you for my husband, even though he is going through peaks and valleys daily, you are there. I pray that you would surround him today with your peace and would give me the knowledge he needs to do his job and well. You are our creator and you know all things, so open his mind to what he needs to know to be a great worker, father, husband, brother, son, and friend. I pray these things for all of us here today. Open my children's minds so they can understand and grasps the concepts that are awaiting them this morning. Thank you, again, for everything that you have and have not given me. My life has been a testimony and a blessing to my family, others, and myself. I continue to strive for the prize of heaven and ask that you would shape me into the child you would be most proud of. I Jesus' Name, Amen.
