Slavery...
This word can bring fear to the strongest people. It comes in all fashions. I know that most people think of slavery as Abraham Lincoln, or beatings and wrong doing. But Peter plainly says that "a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him". It is amazing to me that this statement brings so much complexity, but is to the point. We are slaves to our sins. What sins do you have that have plagued or mastered you. It leaves me, but I have read that we must master it (sin). So, do not let Satan have a foot hold on you. God gives us the power to say NO to ungodly things.
Lord, Thank you for your strength and healing in my body to do the things you ask me to do. I pray that my Uncle will be healed in the name of Jesus. Clear his lungs, make him whole again. Bless him with love and encouragement. He is lonely and needs a companion to love him back. You do things immeasurable more that anything else in this place. I ask you Lord to give me a clear picture on what work you have for me. Allow me to be a peace maker and self-controlled with all of my body. Lord I ask for your joy, peace, patience, kindness, and self control. Without you I am nothing. Please my day and give me the opportunity to be successful and show your ways, not my own. In Jesus' Holy Name Amen!
