Suffering comes with blessings. God speaks through Peter and tells us that "these [things] have come so that your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-maybe proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed" (1Peter 1:7). In this refinement, I believe God works with sins that we have, to change us and make us more like him. For example, I have issues with self-control with my tongue and temper. Peter tells us that we must prepare our minds for action and be self-controlled, setting our hopes fully on the grace to be given to us when Jesus Christ is revealed. I know that I can be self-controlled and that thought lines up with the word of God, so I must ponder it, speak it, and act it. I live for the kingdom of light. He loves me and I love him. His wounds have healed me, as I give him my worry and anxiety he takes them, which leaves me with peace.
I ask you Lord to clear my mind and give me self-control in all parts of me, so that I can pray earnestly to you. Thank you Lord for trusting me with the suffering that I have gone through, I will continue to commit myself to you-my faithful creator and do good. I want to Glorify you in everything that I do. I ask that you would give me visions of what you want for my marriage, my children, and the work that you have planned for me. I need clear direction and encouragement from you to guide me through these dreams. I ask that my children will learn to love you and worship you all the days of their lives, the same with Wayne. I continue to pray Lord that I can be submissive to my husband and live in purity and reverence. Giving them the outward appearance that they should see to change their ways. I pray in the name of Jesus that you will give Wayne visions and a word about the direction in his life and our family. Let it be so profound that he tells me about it and I would have great peace. In your son's holy name-Jesus. Amen.
